The Together We Can Community (TWC) Resilience Response has been stood up in response to the Lockdown measures now in place.

Our existing Covid-19 ‘Together We Can’ community response helpline continues to operates from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If residents do not have support from family and friends, they can contact us to request help with accessing food, household supplies, social contact and any other support they may need.

The helpline telephone number is 0300 123 7052 or they can request support via our online form (https://togetherwecan.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/…/carepackagea…/). A British Sign Language service is also in place and appointments for translation service can be arranged as required.

Additionally we need to make contact with 15,000 Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) residents in the BCP Council area to assess their support needs, put support in place where needed and report back to MHCLG.

If they have no support in place and require access to food we will establish a weekly food parcel which will be delivered to the individual’s address using our local community and voluntary sector organisations.

Central Government are asking all CEVs to register via the National Shielding Service System (NSSS) and this will enable them to access a priority supermarket slot if they haven’t retained one from the first lockdown. The link to the NSSS is here – https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-shielding-support.

You can complete this registration on behalf of a CEV if they need support. We have also collated a significant amount of supporting information on the TWC webpage here https://www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/…/Help-advice-and-support….

This details the wide range of support that is available to access food, bereavement counselling, mental health support etc.

If someone is not online they can call the helpline on 0300 123 7052 and will be signposted to information about the support by our dedicated call handlers
