Access to Food Map

The Access to Food Map is up to date, displaying the range of community food initiatives there are across the conurbation.

This is being used by the Together We Can Helpline, GPs, Schools, Social Prescribers, Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, Citizen’s Advice and more, to help signpost those who need food support.

We are once again matching food donations (especially from hospitality industry) with community food initiatives in their local neighbourhood. We are focused on building strong neighbourhood links during this times of lockdown.

The Bulk Food Whatsapp Group is also still going in case of any quick turnaround food donations. Please get in touch with Daisy at daisy.carr@bcpcouncil.gov.uk if you would like to join the whatsapp group.

Those who are clinically extremely vulnerable (identified by NHS and were previously shielding) are being proactively contacted to ensure they have a support network around them. If they need a helping hand they are being matched with TWC Volunteers, if they need support in getting food then they are matched with supermarket delivery slots, and if they are in financial difficulty then they will receive a weekly food parcel delivered to their door.
