Become a Member of Dorset REC
Dorset Race Equality Council (Dorset REC) is the only community organisation in the county solely dedicated to racial justice.
By becoming a member, you’re not only showing your support—you’re helping to shape our future.
Why Become a Member?
As a member, you will:
- Have the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), once you’ve been a member for at least 3 calendar months
- Receive regular updates on our work and developments
- Be eligible to stand for election as a trustee on our committee
- Vote at general meetings of the charity
- Help hold our committee accountable if you’re concerned about any decisions
- Guarantee up to £10 towards unpaid debts if Dorset REC is ever wound up while you’re a member (or within one year of ending your membership—standard for charitable companies)
Your membership gives you a voice—and makes our committee legally answerable to you. It’s a meaningful way to support the vital work we do.
