This training is for community leaders and members who can safeguard children and help others to understand safeguarding and services available to help families and children.
The aim will be:
• To give participants an overview of safeguarding children issues
• By the end of the session, staff will be able to
– Describe the legal and policy source of safeguarding in England
– State the categories and definitions of abuse
– Understand relevant terms and jargon
– List signs and symptoms
– State the process of referral
– Access Safer Working Practice Guidance
