Access Dorset are looking for an energetic and creative member of staff to support and develop the work of our volunteers and develop our activity program. The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the volunteers who in turn support our activity program at The Bridge. The activity program aims to improve health, confidence, and stamina of project participants and volunteers, leading to improved quality of life and transferrable vocational skills. Volunteers and participants of our activity program have variable physical/mental health support needs and the postholder will on occasion need to step in to directly deliver elements of the program, in particular our Café, our Build/Grow/Cook groups, and a monthly lunch club.

Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with other partner charities at The Bridge and in the wider community.
It is vital that you have an understanding and empathy with the values of a peer-led organisation that is committed to social justice and the Social Model of Disability.
