Hours and location: Full time (37.5 hours per week), part time job share applications considered. Based from our Bournemouth office at Slades Park Pavilion. Flexible working hours are supported along with an agile working pattern with a mix of home and office based working each week.

About the role

• We are looking for an energetic individual with a can do attitude, who prides themselves on attention to detail
• Much of the role will involve working alongside colleagues across the team, coordinating meetings, note taking or supporting with projects.
• A key requirement of the role is the ability to work across multiple pieces of work, supporting the organisations adherence to the good governance standards.
• The role will require you to support the Business Support Manager across a range of financial tasks, such as use of Xero, processing invoices, liaising with auditors
• The role will include regular communication with colleagues and external partners via email, telephone and in person.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Active Dorset and build relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues and communities.
• Support the business manager on finance tasks to include processing invoices, raising sales invoices, record keeping and supporting the annual audit. Training will be provided where required.
• Minute taking, support with meeting arrangements, providing project support where required.
• Coordinating office and facility activities to ensure efficiency and compliance to company policies and Governance code.
• Communicating with internal and external colleagues and partner organisations via email and telephone, answering general enquiries, including management of organisation email accounts.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our equality and diversity action plan, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Complete reporting to third parties, Active Dorset Board and Sport England as required by the senior management team.
• Ensure high quality administration and record keeping at all times.
