The Portrait Challenge initiative from The Lyric that Bridport Rights Respecting Town is supporting – equal rights = we’re all equal, right? The aim is to make visible the many, many faces of Bridport (town and villages) and celebrate all our different identities turning the town into an art gallery – shop windows, home windows, bus stops etc etc.
There are pop up activities taking place:
Sat 8 August 9.30 – 12.30 at Farmers Market outside Lyric on Barrack Street
Tues 11 August 2-4 pm Angie Porter is running an online tutorial (free) in fundamentals of creating a pet portrait from a photo
Sar 29 August 10 – 2 Local artists are doing pop up portrait drawing sessions on Bridport Arts Centre forecourt – turn up and have a portrait done and do one yourself!
Why not get individuals in your groups drawing each other – in any form? Be wonderful to have a real cross section of faces. Share with your friends and every social media platform you have at your disposal!
