Support our local film students! Pupils at Arts University are producing a short 10-15 minute film called “What Remains of Calico Hill” (ししかの山), an experimental film exploring memory, grief, and untold history through the lens of a mother-daughter relationship in post-war Japan.

With keen attention to historical accuracy and with the delicate nature of the themes they set out to explore, the hope is that the film becomes a call to remember what history has tried to erase. They will be screening the film at the BFI upon completion and plan to go on a circuit of film festivals locally and globally.
