Dorset Ukrainian Community are excited to invite you to the launch event of our new project, Safer Kids: Road Safety. The event will take place on Monday 15th of May from 6.00 pm-9.00 pm at the Centre VR Production Studios, Richmond Gardens Shopping Centre, Old Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH1 1EN, Europe’s largest VR centre based in Bournemouth.
Safer Kids is a virtual reality training module designed for children aged 7-12 years old. Created by the Centre VR Production Studios team, this project aims to teach children about safety in a fun and engaging way. The first module focuses on teaching children how to cross the road safely, with plans for future modules covering all aspects of children’s safety.
Safer Kids is a unique project, as there is no other safety training virtual reality software designed specifically for children. The virtual reality environment allows children to safely walk to school, cross roads using a variety of crossing aids, and return home with a computer A.I helper explaining the processes required. The children’s understanding is accurately tested by monitoring their actions and eye movements.
We are confident that Safer Kids will make a positive impact on children’s safety education, and we would love to have your support. At the event, you will have the opportunity to try the VR experience-Safer Kids: Road Safety, hear presentations about the project, and learn why it is so important for children. We will also provide refreshments, wine, tea, coffee, light snacks, and canapés, to create a fantastic atmosphere.
This project was organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club International, aimed at supporting the Dorset Ukrainian Community CIC. As part of this initiative, a portion of the income generated from this project will go towards buying food for Ukrainian refugees. We believe that it is important to come together and help those in need, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so through this project.
