All Saints Day

“Remembering and respecting” by wiaryGODni and Dorset Polish Centre

Cemeteries plays a vital role in our faith. They are unique places for families and friends to reflect on the lives of the deceased and the personal impact their loved ones made upon their own lives.

Another year, another All Saints Day where many of Poles are unable to visit our loved one’s graves. Yet, another year many Polish graves are left without attention they deserve.

Over the last few years, wiaryGODni and Dorset Polish Centre who initiated this project in 2016, they located and recorded many polish graves across Dorset and BCP Council.

On 31st of October this year, Polish parish group ‘wiaryGODni’ (eng. Credible) once again in partnership with Dorset Polish Centre, we are going to visit and save from oblivion as many Polish graves as they possibly can.

Under the auspices of the Polish Catholic Mission and Polish Embassy in London, they are hoping to spread across Dorset the love and respect to the souls that have already passed on to God.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved in this event, support them in the future or receive further information about the project.
