Dorset Race Equality Council is committed to combating any level of racism.

We recognise and observe that experiencing any level of racism can have detrimental impact on an individual’s mental health, but help is available in the community.

We are saddened to learn of the issues reported by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as members of the Royal Family and welcome the commitment of the Queen to take those issues very seriously and to address them.

It is clear there are issues the Royal Family must deal with as employers of staff which they must investigate in the proper manner.   There are also internal family issues to be addressed and the family must now be given the privacy to do so as any other family and enabled to mend the relationships which have been broken.
