Community Action Network

Community Action Network (CAN) are currently advertising two really exciting job opportunities.

Project Officer – Research & Development

Would you like to help inform how local people can get home from hospital safely and quickly, plus prevent them being admitted in the first place? Do you enjoy researching and putting forward innovative solutions?

CAN has been commissioned by  Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group to undertake an exciting action research project in partnership with Dorset Community Action and working alongside NHS colleagues.

You could join a dynamic team working to develop system understanding of how the voluntary and community sector can contribute to meeting the needs of patients on discharge from hospital and to avoid hospital admission, including building on learning from national Home First initiatives.

Volunteer Coordinator

Are you passionate about making a difference within local communities and promoting and enabling volunteering?

Could you develop a bank of meaningful volunteering opportunities, which deliver positive outcomes for both volunteers and the host organisation? Are you a warm welcoming person that can act as a first point of contact for all volunteer enquiries? Then CAN want you!

If successful you’ll take on a varied and interesting role, working for Community Action Network – an ambitious charity working across Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole to empower the voluntary sector, enable volunteering, and involve communities.
