Activity Assistant, Wimborne

We are recruiting for a full time Activity Assistant to join our friendly team in Wimborne.

Job Description

  • talking with individuals about the types of activities they’d like to do
  • organising activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of individuals, as well as group activities that will bring individuals together
  • organising trips out in the local community, considering transport arrangements and accessibility

Desirable

Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care

Administrator/ Receptionist, Dorchester

We are recruiting for a part time Administrator/Receptionist to join our friendly team in Dorchester.

Working part time Monday to Friday 8.30am till 1.30pm

Job Description

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Answer telephone calls, determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate person

Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate person

Take messages for team members and email to them

Answer questions about organisation and provide callers with address, directions, etc

Welcome on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate team member or assist if appropriate

Monitor visitor access and ensure signing in and out procedures are adhered to

Receive, sort and routes mail

Maintain orders – chase, receive and distribute supplies for the centre

Petty cash

Monitor registers to ensure being completed by tutors

Assist tutors with booking students on to their courses

Assist tutors with chasing students who do not attend courses / absences

Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating

Manage a job book for all adhoc tasks that are requested by team

Set up and clean down refreshment areas daily

Ensure general tidiness of reception areas etc

First point of support for on call staff

Any other duties required by management team

Learning Support Assistant, Dorchester

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a full time Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team in Dorchester.

Job Description

To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings

To provide one to one support as directed by Head of Learning or class tutor

Provide learning support within a group and on an individual basis

To acct as a scribe/reader/exam invigilator as required

To support students on breaks

To contribute to learners ILPs

To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed

To be aware of individual learner’s risk assessments and needs

To support learners to access transport and with travel training_

To accompany learners during work experience placements both on and off site

Accompany learners on outings, visits, community and recreational activities

Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible.

Keep records associated with the support role.

Desirable

Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent)

Level 2/3 Qualification in learning support or equivalent

Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools

Award in Education

ELSA qualification

Understanding of working with young adults who have SEND

Awareness of disabilities.

Ability to relate well to children and vulnerable young adults

We are recruiting for a Tutor to join our friendly team in Boscombe.

Job Description:

Preparation of course/training materials

Completion of external paperwork as required in a timely manner

Maintaining the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria

Completion of learner and delivery paperwork as required in a timely manner

Initial Assessment and diagnostic of the learner needs including English and maths using company standards

Deliver embedded English and maths skills

To attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC

To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings

To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed

To be aware of individual learner’s risk assessments and needs

Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible.
