Dorset Race Equality Council (Dorset REC) hopes this message finds you and your loved ones well. The health and wellbeing of our staff, our communities and our clients are our priority.

After the announcement from the Government that social distancing is now required in order to delay the spread of COVID-19, and that people should avoid public buildings and work from home if possible, we are closing the Dorset REC office. As there is no clear guidance from Public Health England or the Government about specific time frames, we will keep this decision under review at least weekly.

During this time, we will continue working with clients and on our projects through telephone, email, web based messaging and royal mail where necessary.  We will be keeping in touch.

Our staff all have work mobiles and their numbers are as follows:

Nathalie Sherring 07871 574756

Eva Zabarlyo 07752 996453

Tina Thompson 07739 414149

Christine Brienne 07743 370459

Penelope Pearl 07858 626560

They can be contacted on their work mobiles during their normal working hours.  Please note that Nathalie is on annual leave until Friday 27th March.  In her absence you can contact any of us on our work mobiles or by email.

We will monitor messages left on the answerphone in the office once daily on weekdays.  And we will collect incoming mail as and when we are aware it has arrived.

This is a very difficult time for everyone. Dorset REC is a charity and most of our funding comes from  a variety of sources.   We will be maintaining contact with our funders and donors during this time and as necessary.

As the situation changes and we have further updates, we will keep you informed via our website, social media and by email.

If you are the recipient of hate incidents or crime, because of tensions over Corona Virus, please report it either to the police, or to us at Dorset REC. It is not acceptable for anyone to be discriminated against or subject to nasty or racist comments at any time including in these difficult times.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on the mobile numbers above and if you think we may be able to help.
