The NHS, local authorities and social care have teamed up for the first time to offer care work scholarship positions.

There is an event at the BIC next Weds 25 January 2023, 9:00am – 6:00pm where people can go to find out more, and they will actually be doing interviews on the day, with the possibility of a same day conditional job offer if successful.

As you know, in some other cultures, caring for the older generation is the norm and so many people from other countries already have experience from their personal lives. Also, people who speak multiple languages are sought after to help care for people for whom English is a second language. The work is flexible so hours can fit around the person applying.

At the end of the 18months people have a formal qualification. And the pay is competitive.
