This is a hybrid session that will be held in the BSWN Social Enterprise Incubator and also online, our incubator is located on the first floor in the Coach House, St Paul’s.

Who is this event and programme for?

Black & Minoritised community leaders or activists who:

  • Have experience in management/leading capacity they wish to build on OR have aspirations to gain leadership skills in relation to pursuing racial justice in their field
  • Are interest in leading campaigns, causes or organisations that have racial justice at the centre of its outcomes
  • Are based in Bristol or the South West region

Who will we hear from?

Jendayi Serwah is the lead facilitator for this programme. Jendayi is a Public Speaker, Trainer, Facilitator, Community Developer, and Reparations Activist specialising in race equity and its intersections, personal and organisational strategic development and psychosocial education for change. You can listen to Jendayi’s Radio Show Glocal which focuses on Afrikan political, cultural, and social affairs, on Ujima every Friday. Jendayi is also the convenor of AfrikanConneXions Consortium, a lobbying group promoting the interest of Afrikan Heritage people in Bristol and the South West.

Nathalie Sherring, our Regional Capacity Building Manager will also join us for the session as she will be available to support the programme cohort over their journey on the programme. Nathalie managed Dorset Race Equality Council (charity) for 7 years + and has worked in and with the VCSE sector most of her working life.
