Full time – permanent
Salary: £26,500
Holiday entitlement: 25 days/year

Dorset Race Equality Council is an independent race equality body in Dorset. One of its aims is to support individuals who feel they have been discriminated against because of their race or their religion.
Dorset Race Equality Council is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Community Development Officer to join their team.
You will need to demonstrate the ability and experience of managing community projects and initiatives, supporting and developing Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups and volunteering opportunities within the community. You will be experienced in or you will have an understanding of partnership working and be required to monitor and evaluate projects and initiatives.
You will also need to have a good understanding of the key principles to community development work, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Experience of providing advice and advocacy would also be desirable for this position.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to travel throughout Dorset and to work evenings and weekends occasionally.
