THE DUTY TO PROMOTE RACIAL/ETHNIC EQUALITY

On this page you will find a wide selection of guides. Most are to do with the duty to promote racial/ethnic equality.
Some are statutory and some are not. If you do not know what this means or you think this duty does not apply to you click here and download a copy of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 (© Crown copyright 2002 - 2008)  Update yourself on your duties in law. Seek the advice of an appropriate lawyer with experience of equality and diversity issues in your sector of interest. No one claims that the law is a panacea for racism, but if we all entry into the spirit of the legislation it would go a long way in the right direction. Contact Dorset Race Equality Council at enquiries@dorsetrec.org.uk for advice.  Don't be found wanting.
